Job summary

Nox Metals, a technology-forward metals company with operations in Detroit and Los Angeles, seeks a Senior Finance Manager to build the financial operating system behind the business. You will own the monthly close, forecasting, reporting, controls, cash visibility, and analysis to enable informed commercial decisions.

The role sits close to the business; you’ll map how inventory, purchasing, production, pricing, freight, and terms flow into financials and translate that into durable processes

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent accounting foundation.
• Experience in manufacturing or inventory-heavy business.
• Strong accounting fundamentals with an operating mindset.
• Ability to build and test financial models on the factory floor.
• Rigorous about accuracy, controls and deadlines.
• Able to explain results to non-finance leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly close, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Build forecasts for revenue, margin, cash, labor, inventory and capex.
• Explain performance and drivers behind variances.
• Develop controls appropriate for an inventory-heavy company.
• Partner with sales and operations on pricing and terms.
• Improve costing and gross-margin visibility.
• Manage audit, tax, insurance, banking, and external workflows.
• Develop finance systems and automate reporting.
• Support leadership and board materials with analysis.
• Coach finance teammates and raise documentation standards.
