Job summary

Nox Metals, a technology-driven metals supplier with operations in Detroit and Los Angeles, seeks a Senior Finance Manager to own the financial close, management reporting, planning, and controls.

You will partner with sales and operations on pricing and capacity decisions, improve costing and gross-margin visibility, and lead a growing finance team while ensuring rigorous accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting fundamentals and ability to link financial data to operations.
• Experience building forecasts and planning processes for revenue, margin, cash, labor, inventory, and capital.
• Ability to explain performance and drivers to non-finance leaders.
• Experience implementing ERP, planning, or BI systems.
• CPA, public accounting experience, or equivalent technical accounting foundation.
• Experience in inventory-heavy manufacturing or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly close, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Build forecasts and planning processes for revenue, margin, cash, labor, inventory, and capital.
• Explain actual performance and drivers behind variances.
• Develop controls appropriate for a fast-growing, inventory-intensive company.
• Partner with sales and operations on pricing, customer economics, capacity, and investment decisions.
• Improve costing, inventory accounting, and gross-margin visibility.
• Manage audit, tax, insurance, banking, and external-accounting workflows.
• Develop finance systems and automate repetitive reporting responsibly.
• Support leadership and board materials with accurate, decision-ready analysis.
• Coach finance teammates and raise the standard for documentation and follow-through
