Senior Project Finance Manager
Job Description

Experience: Manager

Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 per year

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning process in partnership with executive leadership and operational teams.
  • Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.
  • Analyze actual financial performance against budget and forecast and identify significant trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making, growth initiatives, and operational planning.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure company and project performance.
  • Construction & Project Financial Management
  • Partner with Project Managers and Operations leadership to monitor project financial performance, profitability, costs, and projected outcomes.
  • Review project budgets, cost-to-complete reports, and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze labor, material, subcontractor, and overhead costs and identify potential cost overruns or margin risks.
  • Support project teams with financial analysis related to change orders, contract modifications, and overall project profitability.
  • Monitor backlog and provide financial visibility into future revenue and capacity planning.
  • Support and analyze revenue recognition, including percentage-of-completion and other project-based accounting methods as applicable.
  • Financial Reporting & Business Analysis
  • Prepare and present timely financial reports and management dashboards for executive leadership.
  • Perform detailed analysis of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and project financial performance.
  • Provide meaningful variance analysis and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with the development of financial reporting processes, dashboards, and analytical tools.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management
  • Support company-wide cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
  • Monitor cash requirements and coordinate with leadership regarding funding needs and financial priorities.
  • Analyze accounts receivable, collections, retainage, accounts payable, and project cash flow to improve liquidity.
  • Assist with banking relationships, credit facilities, and other treasury-related activities as needed.
