Job Summary

The Financial Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with business goals. This role involves managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to support decision-making and drive profitability in a fast-paced construction and building materials environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support business objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
  • Coordinate with operational teams to evaluate project profitability, cost control, and risk management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including investors and auditors.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the construction and building materials sector.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in the construction, building materials, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
