The Salvation Army in Houston, TX is seeking a senior financial administrator who will provide administrative and managerial support to the Area Commander and oversee the financial operations of the organization. The role requires leadership, budgeting, and grant management skills.

You will develop annual budgets, oversee grant funding administration, supervise staff, and prepare reports for advisory boards and donors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, Business Analytics or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Five years progressively responsible financial administration experience, with at least three years supervisory experience.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsabilités

• Plans, directs, recruits, and supervises all assigned staff and volunteers; conducts evaluations and salary/hiring/firing recommendations.
• Plans and supervises the preparation of financial reports to boards and committees; includes income/expenses analyses.
• Oversees administrative of grant funding (United Way, EFSP, ESGP, private foundations) and audits.
• Develops annual budgets for approval and oversees administration; reports projections and adjusts budgets as needed.
• Researches, compiles data, and prepares narratives and statistics for budgets/grant proposals; negotiates contracts and oversees contractors.
