Job summary

The Salvation Army Atlanta ARC Command seeks a senior financial leader to direct day-to-day accounting, budgeting, and auditing functions and to ensure adherence to GAAP and organizational standards. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ten years progressively responsible experience.
• Experience administering accounting and financial functions for a larger organization; minimum five years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and Salvation Army standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the fiscal function for the ARC Command.
• Provide information, instruction and financial analysis for units across the division.
• Review operating budgets, monitor revenue and expenses; recommend expenditures to ARC Command Finance Board.
• Maintain reserve balances and avoid overspending; provide guidance for financial problem solving.
• Oversee budgeting process and other financial issues impacting the budget.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Ten years progressively responsible accounting/finance experience

Supervisory experience (5+ years)
