Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • CPA, CMA or Master's degree preferred but not required.
  • 3–5 years accounting experience, ideally in a nonprofit with multiple grants.
  • Experience with city/county/state/federal funding streams preferred.
  • Supervisory experience in AP/AR or accounting roles is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Regular budget consolidation and financial reporting oversight.
  • Cash flow management, debt management and collection coordination.
  • GAAP-based monthly, quarterly and annual statements preparation.
  • Develops and monitors reporting systems and internal controls.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable teams and treasury activities.
  • Support grant accounting, compliance and Uniform Guidance adherence.
  • Assist with audits and funder monitoring; provide financial analysis.
  • Lead finance staff coaching and cross-functional collaboration.
