Job summary

Alliance Resource Group seeks a seasoned finance leader to head accounting and financial planning. The role oversees all accounting operations, close processes, and internal controls in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment. You will collaborate with auditors and senior leadership to ensure accurate reporting and scalable processes.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting/finance, strong U.S. GAAP expertise, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control environment.
• Experience with monthly/quarterly close, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred for senior leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, accruals, and related functions.
• Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Maintain strong internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Review complex transactions and advise on proper accounting treatment.
• Coordinate with auditors and support audit activities.
• Provide insights on financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning; monitor KPIs.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing accounting/finance team; drive process improvements.
