Job summary

Skyline Windows, a fourth-generation family-owned company, is seeking a Controller in New York to lead the accounting function, ensure accurate financial records, and drive improvements across close processes, controls, and reporting. The role combines hands-on accounting leadership with strategic analysis for the CFO and management team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a complete monthly close.
• Experience supervising accounting personnel.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, accruals, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing or project/job-cost environment preferred.
• Experience with WIP, job costing, inventory and project profitability analysis preferred.
• CPA not required.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage monthly, quarterly and annual close.
• Review journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Perform analytical review of balance sheet and income statement.
• Maintain accounting controls and review processes.
• Supervise accounting personnel including Senior Accountant and AP.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reporting.
• Support project accounting including job costing, WIP, revenue recognition and inventory.
• Drive automation and AI initiatives to improve Finance processes.
• Collaborate with CFO on cash-flow reporting and treasury analysis.
