Job summary

RSM is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Finance as a Service (FaaS) practice in a client-facing role. You will support month-end close, financial reporting and budgeting activities, leveraging cloud-based tools and a strong accounting foundation.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, communicates effectively, and thrives in a multi-client environment with opportunities to advance within a leading professional services firm.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's in accounting or finance is required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.
Experience in a public accounting firm or professional services is preferred but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
CPA pursuing or CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Key point of contact for client Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash and Month End Close cycles.
Lead, manage and coach client services representatives and associates.
Review monthly journal entries for various accounts to ensure accuracy.
Approve bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare and review monthly financial statements with variance analysis.
Provide actionable insights and decision support to client management.
Identify process improvements for month-end close efficiencies.
