Job summary

RSM US LLP in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Finance as a Service (FaaS) practice. This hands-on role focuses on month-end close, financial reporting, and audit support while leveraging our cloud-based technology stack.

You will interact with client executives such as CEO, COO, and CFO, lead and coach junior staff, and help drive process improvements across P2P, O2C, and close cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.
• Experience in a public accounting firm, consulting firm or professional services environment preferred but not required.
• Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Responsibilities

• This is a hands-on position that requires transaction processing and account reconciliation skills.
• Key point of contact for our clients.
• Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash and Month End Close cycles.
• Lead, manage and coach client services representatives and associates.
• Review monthly journal entries for various expense and revenue categories.
• Prepare/Review client’s monthly financial statements including variance analysis.
• Analyze and interpret financial information and provide actionable insight.
• Identify opportunities to improve monthly operations and processes.
• Document repeatable methodologies and tooling for future projects.
