Hard Rock Digital is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for our Quantitative Sports team. You’ll own major architectural decisions and shape the core backend powering live odds for millions of users. This high-impact role offers autonomy in a fast-paced, real-time engineering environment.

You’ll partner with quantitative analysts, design ingestion pipelines, and build scalable services while driving technical strategy and best practices across the platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience in production systems.
• Strong Python proficiency for large-scale services.
• Experience with low-latency, real-time, or high-throughput architectures.
• Background in multi-feed ingestion pipelines.
• Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience deploying and operating systems in AWS.
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with analytical stores (Snowflake, ClickHouse).
• Strong knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build backend services that scale under heavy data and user load.
• Reduce latency and optimize real-time performance across pricing pipelines.
• Collaborate with quantitative developers to integrate models and pricing logic.
• Design and maintain data ingestion pipelines for live feeds.
