Job summary

First National Bank of Omaha seeks a Senior File Transfer Engineer to own the enterprise MFT architecture, set standards, and mentor engineers. You will lead projects across production, DR, and non-production environments, ensuring secure, scalable data transfers with Axway SecureTransport and related components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years hands-on enterprise MFT experience.
• Deep understanding of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2).
• Proficient in Linux/Unix administration.
• Strong networking concepts including firewalls, load balancers, proxies, DNS and VPNs.
• Cloud-based MFT integration or hybrid environments a plus.
• Experience in regulated industries with strict compliance and audit requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with third-party vendors.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and scaling of Axway MFT environments across production, non-production, and DR zones.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and security teams to ensure MFT aligns with IT strategy and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead MFT-related projects, including upgrades and onboarding.
• Develop and maintain complex MFT workflows using SecureTransport features and scripts.
• Automate operational tasks with Shell, Python, or PowerShell to improve efficiency.
• Monitor, alert, and report MFT transactions using Dynatrace for performance and reliability.
• Drive security reviews, access controls, and audit readiness for PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate MFT with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
