Job summary

FNBO is seeking a Sr. File Transfer Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise file transfer platforms.

You will lead the architecture, design, and scaling of Axway SecureTransport across production, non-production, and DR zones, collaborating with security teams to ensure compliance. You will mentor engineers, manage MFT workflows, automate tasks, and drive secure data transfers with auditing and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise Managed File Transfer solutions.
• Deep understanding of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2), encryption methods, and certificate management.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix system administration and comfortable navigating large, complex environments.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, DNS, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with cloud-based MFT integration (AWS, Azure) or hybrid environments is a strong plus.
• Proven track record in regulated industries with strict compliance and audit requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience working with third-party vendors.

Responsibilities

• Learn and support Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms.
• Lead the architecture, design, and scaling of Axway SecureTransport environments across production, non-production, and DR zones.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and security teams to ensure MFT solutions align with IT strategy and compliance.
• Act as technical lead on MFT projects including upgrades, migrations, and partner onboarding.
• Manage and optimize Axway SecureTransport and related components for performance and resiliency.
• Develop and maintain complex MFT workflows using SecureTransport features and scripting.
• Automate tasks with Shell, Python, PowerShell to improve efficiency.
• Implement end-to-end monitoring, alerting, and reporting of MFT transactions using Dynatrace.
• Capacity planning and performance tuning to support growing volumes.
• Implement robust data protection protocols (TLS, PGP, SSH, SFTP, FTPS) per security requirements.
• Drive security reviews, access controls, logging, and audit readiness (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Collaborate with InfoSec to ensure ongoing compliance and vulnerability remediation.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and staff.
• Lead troubleshooting on high-impact issues; interface with cross-functional teams to integrate MFT with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
