Job summary

CobbFendley in Fort Worth seeks a Senior Field Technician to support field operations for civil infrastructure projects. The role focuses on advanced SUE locating, utility exposure, and coordinating with project teams.

Extensive field experience is required, with travel regionally and possibly interstate. You will document site conditions, lead small to large SUE projects, and mentor junior staff in safety and procedures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Field experience.
• Knowledge of field operations, methods, procedures, safety requirements, and environmental considerations for civil infrastructure in outdoor settings.
• Skills include use of industry-standard tools, equipment, and computer software to perform field tasks, document work, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to safely operate required equipment, travel locally, regionally, and interstate, with overnight stays, in varying weather and terrain.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex field assignments without supervision and may work independently as a one-person field crew.
• Provide instructions and mentor field crews.
• Coordinate with project managers and internal teams.
• Assist with development of procedures and safety initiatives.
• Responsible for safely operating equipment.
• Travel locally and out of state, including overnights.
• May operate various vehicles and perform routine maintenance.
• May cross-train to perform other field services (Telecommunications, Survey, SUE).
