Placements24 is seeking a Senior Field Technician to join their team in Welkom. This on-site role requires expert on-site technical support, maintenance and repair across complex systems, with you acting as the technical lead.

You will mentor junior technicians, tackle the most challenging diagnostics, and manage site-specific maintenance strategies while maintaining strong client relations and high service standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a field technician with complex installations and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems relevant to the industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
• Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior technicians.
• Relevant technical certifications and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of sophisticated equipment and systems.
• Lead and mentor junior field technicians, providing on-the-job training and technical guidance.
• Conduct complex installations and upgrades, ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Develop and implement site-specific maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance.
• Manage inventory of specialized tools and replacement parts for service calls.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction.
