Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment at customer premises, including routers, switches, and CTI systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostic checks on existing network installations to ensure optimum performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair network hardware and connectivity issues reported by clients.
• Provide on-site technical support and guidance to customers regarding their telecom systems.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and company procedures during all field operations.
• Manage service inventory and complete accurate service reports for each job.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a hands-on and resourceful Field Telecom Technician to serve the Welkom region. This position requires you to be on-site, working directly with clients and equipment to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems. You will be the face of our client's technical services in the field, ensuring that customer installations meet high standards of quality and performance. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with excellent practical skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage their time effectively while traveling between client locations. This role is crucial for maintaining client satisfaction and network integrity in the field.
