Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Field Installation Technician to join our Installation & Maintenance team, serving client sites in the Paarl region. You will install, configure, and initially test equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety while representing the company professionally.

The ideal candidate has hands-on installation or field service experience, can read technical drawings, and has strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on installation or field service experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage field schedule.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing communication.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport for Paarl region travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete installations of new equipment according to design specifications and company procedures.
• Conduct testing and calibration post-installation to ensure full functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues promptly.
• Provide basic user training and support to clients on installed systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including site reports and inventory usage.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company protocols on-site.
