Haley Ward, Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Technician to support landfill construction QA programs and manage testing laboratories across multiple sites in Maine.

You will oversee conformance with project specs, coordinate with project managers, and ensure comprehensive documentation of inspections and outcomes. The role requires strong field engineering/technical background, attention to detail, and effective communication with owners, engineers, contractors, and regulators.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional engineering services, sitework, earthwork, landfill construction, or related environmental construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance inspections throughout the landfill construction process to ensure compliance with regulations and conformance with project specifications.
• Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to maintain construction quality standards.
• Collaborate with construction teams to address any quality issues and provide guidance on corrective actions.
• Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of quality inspection results and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and improvement of quality assurance programs to enhance construction quality and efficiency.
• Maintain project documentation during construction.
• Assist with construction progress meetings and report CQA findings on a regular basis.
• Assist with preparation of Final Construction Reports.
