Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Senior Field Technician to join our York team. This role involves performing observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of construction materials on site, under guidance from senior staff and project managers.

The ideal candidate will contribute to documenting site observations and maintain clear communication with project teams. Applicants should have 2+ years of related experience, current basic certifications plus two advanced ones, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related field experience.
• Must have and be willing to maintain current basic level certifications and an additional 2 advanced certifications.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, structural steel) on sites according to project requirements.
• Conduct routine field tests using various methodologies and testing equipment per industry standards.
• Collect data, perform calculations, draft field reports documenting site observations.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; inform teams of changing conditions.
• Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; document findings precisely.
