Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I to join our Charleston team. You will work with experienced project management professionals to safely perform field testing, sampling and observation across soils, concrete, aggregates and related materials.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Maintain basic certifications and two advanced certifications
• OSHA 10 may be required
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, sampling and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel and related materials
• Executes testing activities on projects of moderate complexity with minimal supervision
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians and project managers
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors
• Prepares accurate and detailed daily field reports documenting site conditions and results
• Performs calculations, data reduction and documentation tasks
• Maintains and organizes field equipment and testing materials
• Assists in resolving field-related issues and supports project execution
• Trains and mentors Technician I and Technician II staff in field procedures and documentation
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested
• Performs other field and project support duties as assigned
