ECS Limited in Mobile, AL seeks a Senior Field Technician to perform field observations, testing, sampling, and inspection of construction materials on site. You will work under the guidance of senior staff to ensure safety and quality while compiling field reports.

The role requires strong math and communication skills, proficiency with MS Office and mobile devices, and the ability to lift heavy loads. Commitment to continuous learning and certifications is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must maintain current basic level certifications and an additional 2 advanced certifications.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
• Position requires carrying 40 - 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Must provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - Mileage will be reimbursed.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
• Proficiency with electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops.
• Strong math skills with the ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Field Activities: Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials on construction sites.
• Testing Procedures: Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.
• Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspections; develop field reports.
• Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers; attend project meetings as requested.
• Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; document findings with precision.
