Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I for our Knoxville team. You will work with project managers to safely perform field testing, sampling, and inspection of materials across multiple site types, while developing your technical skills.

You will participate in ongoing training and certification programs, communicate daily with site staff, and contribute to accurate field reports and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must have and be willing to maintain current basic level certifications and an additional 2 advanced certifications.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, structural steel) on construction sites.
• Conduct routine field tests using industry-standard methodologies and equipment.
• Perform data calculations, reductions, and document site observations in field reports.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; update teams on site conditions.
• Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings precisely per engineering practices.
