ECS Limited is seeking an entry-level Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Knoxville team. No prior experience is required as you will learn under experienced professionals and have training provided.

Qualifications

  • No experience required; training provided.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must lift up to 85 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Willing to learn CMT principles and ASTM standards.
  • OSHA 10 certification may be required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work with contractors, peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete on field sites.
  • Conduct field and laboratory tests using industry standards.
  • Collect data and perform calculations; assist with drafting/administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain daily communication with site contractors and project managers.
  • Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings precisely.
