Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Senior Field Technician for our Houston, Texas operations to perform soil and concrete testing, data interpretation, and reporting under standard procedures. The role requires travel and the ability to read plans, work outdoors, and coordinate with clients and project teams.

The candidate should have 5 years’ field testing experience, NICET/TXDOT certifications, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a field technician / inspector in construction materials testing.
• NICET Level II is preferred.
• TXDOT 1A/1B certifications with SB102 are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and calibrate testing equipment and conduct soil and/or concrete testing and provide an assessment of data through reporting.
• Utilize drawings, specifications and diagrams.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Observe site activities and perform tasks and complex assignments.
• Make detailed observations and maintain documentation and data from test results.
• Communicate with client and project teams and attend project meetings.
