Job summary

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, seeks a Field Technician in Dallas to perform testing, observations, and site assessments under established procedures. You will operate testing equipment for soil and concrete, document results, and rely on drawings and specifications.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, outdoor work in varying weather, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to discriminate in sound.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally and be able to walk/stand for long periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights.
• Ability to work overnight hours and off shift.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• ACI Field Technician Grade 1 Certification is required.
• One year of construction materials testing experience in the local market is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
