Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Senior Field Technician to join our Professional Services Industries team. The role supports construction materials testing and geotechnical field activities in Fairfield, Texas, operating from our Austin office.

The ideal candidate has ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I certification and at least three years of related field experience, with the ability to work independently, document observations, and communicate results to project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education and concrete field-testing certification.
• Ability to observe pier drilling and document subsurface conditions.
• Strong knowledge of soil classification and geotechnical practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction materials testing of soil, concrete, and other materials.
• Operate testing equipment and report data accurately.
• Observe pier drilling and foundation installation on site.
• Prepare field notes and test documentation for project teams.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to support testing activities.
• Travel locally to Fairfield-area project sites as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and communicate findings to team.
