Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Senior CMT Field Technician to join our Austin project team. You will perform testing of soils, concrete, and related materials, and provide observation and data under general supervision to support construction materials testing on various sites.

You will read plans, observe site activities, and communicate findings to clients and project teams. The role requires the ability to lift 30-50 pounds and to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work off-shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Previous Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspections experience.
• Experience performing field inspections on commercial, transportation, municipal, or industrial projects.
• Experience preparing detailed field reports and communicating findings to clients and project teams.
• Must possess at least one of the listed certifications (ICC/ACI/NICET).

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Observe site activities and perform tasks with interpretation of results.
• Attend project meetings independently and communicate with clients and teams.
