Job summary

Rick Engineering Company (RICK) in San Diego, CA is seeking a Field Survey Manager to lead a team on landmark projects and manage client relationships. The role focuses on delivering precise surveys and design maps for mixed-use developments and infrastructure in the region.

The ideal candidate will have eight or more years of land surveying experience, a California PLS or reciprocity within one year, and strong skills in Civil 3D, Trimble tools, and CAD software.

Qualifications

• Eight years of land surveying experience and a degree in land surveying or equivalent work experience (ten years total).
• Ability to lead and oversee the survey department and its operations.
• Strong independent thought, decision-making, and leadership of staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships with owners, developers, agencies, contractors, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Implement business strategy across the department.
• Prepare and oversee proposals, contracts and financial health for projects.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local jurisdictional laws as they relate to land surveying.
• Demonstrate expertise in survey control, procedures, construction staking and jobsite safety.
