Rick Engineering Company, based in Riverside, CA, is seeking a Field Survey Manager to lead a team on landmark projects in the San Diego region. The role focuses on client relationships, department strategy, and project oversight from proposals through completion.

The ideal candidate has eight+ years of land survey experience, a related degree, and a PLS or reciprocity within 1 year. Opportunities for growth and advancement accompany a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of land survey experience; A.S. or bachelor's in land surveying or 10 years equivalent.
• California Land Surveyor Registration (PLS) or reciprocity within 1 year of hire.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage a survey department.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships with owners, developers, agencies, contractors.
• Implement business strategy across the survey department.
• Prepare and oversee proposals, contracts, and project finances.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local land surveying laws and procedures.
• Oversee field staff, survey control and construction staking.
• Apply coordinate geometry, CAD, and survey data to maps and design surveys.
• Prepare boundary, ALTA surveys, and subdivision plats.
• Lead and evaluate staff; conduct interviews for open positions.
