The ideal candidate brings a minimum of ten years of land surveying experience, an A.S. or B.S. in land surveying (or equivalent), and the ability to pursue LSIT/PLS within 12 months; CA registration is a plus for wage determination.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of land surveying experience.
• A.S. or B.S. in land surveying or twelve years equivalent.
• CA LS registration is a plus or achievable within 180 days.
• Ability to lead and manage a survey department.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Civil 3D, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships with owners, developers, agencies, contractors and others.
• Implement business strategy across the department.
• Prepare and oversee proposals, contracts and project financials.
• Demonstrates knowledge of federal, state and local survey laws and procedures.
• Understand survey control, construction staking and site safety.
• Apply coordinate geometry, CAD and survey calculations for maps and designs.
• Manage and mentor staff researching boundary surveys, construction staking and other surveys.
• Ensure field diaries, QC procedures, cut sheets and timesheets are maintained.
