Job summary

Brayman Construction is seeking a General Superintendent to lead field execution on the Ohio River Tunnel Project. You will supervise multiple superintendents, coordinate with stakeholders, manage safety, scheduling, and productivity in a dense urban environment.

This senior role requires 10+ years of heavy civil experience and proven leadership. Expect 40-50 hour weeks, challenging near-surface work, and close collaboration with project management, engineering, and owners.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressive heavy civil/infrastructure construction experience.
• Experience leading multiple Superintendents, field staff, and craft personnel on large projects.
• Experience in congested urban work zones with complex utility constraints and site access limitations.
• OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
• Strong safety leadership and project execution capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall field leadership for the project and oversee multiple Superintendents, field staff, and subcontractors.
• Lead scheduling, manpower, equipment planning, and cross-team coordination for safe, efficient execution.
• Enforce safety plans, field leadership standards, and quality control across scopes.
• Coordinate near-surface construction and utility relocations in dense urban areas.
• Identify and manage complex utility restrictions and shutdowns; coordinate with owners and agencies.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and progress; address safety violations and deficiencies.
• Train and develop personnel for current and future roles; support project strategies from planning through execution.
