Job summary

Brayman Construction is seeking a General Superintendent to lead field execution on the ALCOSAN Ohio River Tunnel Project in Pittsburgh. This long-term, high-scope role requires strong leadership, safety oversight, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

You will manage near-surface construction, utilities, access, and schedule, while guiding a team of superintendents and craft workers to meet quality and schedule goals on a dense urban site.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible heavy civil, tunnel, deep foundation, or major infrastructure construction experience.
• Experience serving as the senior field leader on a large project coordinating multiple superintendents and trades.
• Experience in congested urban work zones with complex utility restrictions and public interfaces.
• OSHA 30-hour certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall field leadership for the project and oversee multiple superintendents, field staff, crafts, and subcontractors.
• Lead project-wide field planning, schedules, manpower, equipment planning, and coordination between Superintendent teams.
• Enforce project-wide safety expectations and field leadership standards.
• Oversee coordination of near-surface construction in congested urban areas with limited laydown space and traffic interfaces.
• Manage complex utility restrictions, relocations, shutdowns, and coordination with utility owners and public agencies.
• Coordinate work sequencing with project management, engineering, contractors, and stakeholders to minimize schedule impacts.
