Veit & Company, Inc. seeks an Assistant General Superintendent to oversee daily field operations, working closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely project completion across diverse sites.

The candidate should have 5+ years as a superintendent, plus relevant certifications and strong communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders. Travel across the United States is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Superintendent overseeing construction projects
• HAZWOPER, OSHA 10-hr and 30-hr, Pipelayer's Card, Excavation Safety Training, Confined Space Entry, Blueprint Reading, CPR and First Aid certifications—or ability to obtain them
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, iPad and iPhone applications
• Analytical ability to read and interpret policies, reports, construction plans and legal documents
• Strong communication and project coordination skills to interact with clients, owners and teams

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews
• Monitor budgets and optimize manpower, equipment, materials and costs
• Manage change orders and ensure proper documentation and reporting
• Lead safety training and enforce safety policies across sites
