Job summary

B&S Site Development is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to manage field operations across multiple active job sites in a fast-growing civil construction environment. You will lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, review plans, and ensure work stays on time and within budget.

The role requires 5+ years in site development or heavy civil work, 3+ years in a supervisory capacity, and strong safety leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in site development or heavy civil construction.
• 3+ years supervisory experience as a Superintendent or similar leadership role.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting civil plans and construction documents.
• Strong understanding of grading, utility installation, stormwater management, and paving.
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Excellent organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily site operations and ensure project milestones are met.
• Coordinate and schedule crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ensure work is performed according to design, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Monitor safety compliance and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Communicate daily with project managers regarding progress, issues, and solutions.
• Lead and mentor foremen and field crews to promote productivity and accountability.
• Manage inspections, testing, and documentation required by municipalities or clients.
• Identify potential risks or delays and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records including daily reports, timecards, and material logs.
