Job summary

Breeden Company is seeking a Superintendent to serve as the field representative overseeing day-to-day coordination and management of new construction projects in Virginia Beach, VA. The role reports to the Project Manager and requires strong leadership and extensive field experience.

You will manage on-site activities, coordinate with subcontractors, monitor costs and schedule, and maintain safety compliance while ensuring client satisfaction and project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of field management experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and understand design documents, blueprints, and schedules.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety conscious.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day on-site management of construction activities and schedule.
• Coordinate with internal resources and subcontractors.
• Prepare material takeoffs and manage materials.
• Review subcontracts and change orders; cost projections.
• Lead weekly project meetings; ensure budget and schedule.
• Assist Project Manager with permitting and shop drawings.
• Maintain jobsite safety and security; conduct safety orientations.
• Maintain project records; handle warranty process.
