Job summary

The Breeden Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced on-site Superintendent to oversee day-to-day coordination and management of new construction projects in Virginia Beach, VA. This role requires strong field leadership and hands-on oversight across subcontractors and internal teams.

You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, cost control, and compliance with contract documents while reporting progress to the Project Manager. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of field management experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and understand design documents, blueprints.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal and deadline-oriented skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities and schedule.
• Coordinate work with subcontractors and internal resources.
• Prepare material takeoffs and manage materials.
• Review contracts, estimates and change orders.
• Hold weekly project meetings and report to PM.
• Assist in permitting and safety compliance.
• Maintain project records and warranties.
