Job summary

Breeden Construction seeks a Project Engineer to act as the on-site representative, coordinating daily project administration and field operations in Virginia Beach.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of multi-family field management, strong skills in blueprints, schedules (MS Project), and OSHA safety practices, with the ability to communicate across subcontractors and the management team. Daily site travel is required, and a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of multi-family field management experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and understand design documents, blueprints, and MS Project schedules.
• Experience organizing, filing, creating spreadsheets and mathematical skills.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and be a safety conscious individual.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Detail and deadline oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Advanced problem solving skills, organizations skills, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day on-site administration activities including coordinating the project schedule and interfacing with management.
• Coordinate material deliveries with internal resources and subcontractors, prepare material takeoffs and logs.
• Maintain project records, submittals, change directives, change orders and closeout documents.
• Maintain and enforce jobsite safety and security measures including weekly safety inspections and meetings.
• Oversee warranty service process during and after project completion.
