Job summary

Clark Construction Group in San Diego seeks a Superintendent to lead field operations on large commercial projects. You will oversee self-performed and contractor work, ensure compliance with contract documents and the schedule, and promote safety and quality on site.

You will develop and communicate schedules, manage logistics, mentor the project team, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders while upholding Clark standards and business goals.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel.
• Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans across multiple audiences.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the timely and quality installation of contracted work for a total project or scope.
• Implement a culture of safety and quality among Clark employees and trade contractors with regular safety inspections.
• Create and manage project sequencing plans, site logistics, and material/personnel tracking.
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule and milestones with stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-functioning team.
• Maintain relationships with all project stakeholders and represent the company professionally.
