Job summary

Clark Construction Group in the San Francisco area is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will oversee self-performed and contracted work, develop the project schedule, manage logistics, and mentor team members while maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

The role requires extensive heavy civil construction experience, hands-on leadership, and compliance with OSHA and contract documents.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 7+ years of construction project experience.
• Heavy civil construction with self-perform focus preferred.
• 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• In-depth knowledge of scheduling, contracts, equipment, and personnel.
• Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans effectively across multiple audiences.
• Working knowledge of safety and building regulations (OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely, quality installation of contracted work for a project or scope.
• Implement safety and quality culture among Clark employees and trade contractors and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Create and manage plans to sequence work, manage site logistics, and track materials and personnel.
• Ensure high quality of work consistent with project and company standards.
• Deliver project on schedule and on budget.
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule with stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-functioning team.
• Cultivate strong relationships with project stakeholders.
• Represent the company professionally in meetings and interactions.
• Understand owner contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
• Participate in close-out activities including punch lists and training.
