Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale commercial projects in Charleston, SC. You will oversee self-performed and subcontracted work, ensuring adherence to contract documents, schedule, safety, and quality.

You will develop and communicate project plans, mentor field staff, coordinate with stakeholders, and uphold Clark's standards of excellence on every milestone from site setup to project closeout.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience.
• 7+ years of experience working on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• 2+ years of leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• Deep knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the timely and quality installation of contracted work for the total project, or specific scope or trade.
• Implement a culture of safety and quality among Clark employees and trade contractors and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Create and manage a plan to sequence work, manage site logistics, and track materials and personnel.
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule with KPI awareness to stakeholders.
• Manage, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-functioning team.
• Participate in close-out activities including punch lists and building operations training.
