Zusammenfassung

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial projects. You will oversee foremen and crews, coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and piping scopes, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in commercial mechanical construction, strong reading of drawings, and experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project. This role requires traveling to project sites and a strong leadership presence.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in commercial mechanical construction with field leadership
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, piping and MEP systems
• Experience coordinating with General Contractors, Project Managers, subcontractors, and other trades
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents

Aufgaben

• Oversee day-to-day mechanical construction activities from project start to finish
• Lead and coordinate Foremen, field crews, subcontractors, and trade partners
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and resources to meet project schedules
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, piping, and other mechanical scopes with surrounding trades
• Monitor field productivity and ensure project milestones are achieved
• Identify field challenges early and develop effective solutions
• Maintain a strong field presence and provide clear direction to project teams
• Lead field coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems
• Coordinate sequencing with general contractors and other trades
• Work with BIM/VDC teams to resolve constructability issues
• Ensure installations align with drawings and project requirements
• Promote and enforce safety requirements; conduct routine site inspections
• Coordinate inspections, testing, startup, and commissioning activities
• Maintain accountability for workmanship, quality, and site organization
• Develop and maintain short-term field schedules and installation sequencing
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and field progress
• Coordinate material deliveries to support schedules
• Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates
• Support a productive, quality-focused field environment
• Mentor and develop field personnel and promote teamwork
