Job summary

Vertex seeks an experienced Associate Director to join the US Commercial Operations team. This role partners with business and field leadership to enhance field effectiveness by ensuring resourcing, clear communication, and strong support across field-facing initiatives.

Serving as a critical link between strategy and execution, the Associate Director collaborates with Commercial Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to drive performance and improve the field experience.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in sales, sales support, or commercial operations
• Experience with CRM and related field-support technologies
• Proven ability to translate strategy into operational goals and measurable outcomes
• Strong program and project management skills with cross-functional delivery
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and analytical capabilities

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to translate strategy into prioritized commercial operations initiatives
• Lead a portfolio of field enablement projects with clear prioritization, communication, and training delivery
• Establish standardized tracking and a clear communications roadmap across teams
• Facilitate quarterly business planning sessions and align BU leaders on priorities
• Participate in Sales leadership meetings to address risks and dependencies in field engagement
• Drive continuous improvement to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities across tools and processes
