Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Field Software Test Engineer to lead software acceptance, integration, and regression testing across on-premises and cloud environments in Upper Marlboro, MD. You will work with cross-disciplinary teams to accelerate RDT&E projects for national security clients.

The role requires strong test and automation expertise, configuration management, and collaboration across locations. Travel up to 25% and potential for remote work are included in the package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related discipline with 5+ years of experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust requiring U.S. Citizenship.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with teams across locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with software engineering teams to configure, deploy, and test applications and microservices on on-premises infrastructure and on cloud platforms.
• Develop and maintain configuration documentation and software test plans.
• Perform and document tests of APIs and microservices, including containerized services, communicate issues to development teams, and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Coordinate testing activities with ongoing IDSL projects and priorities set up by program and technical leadership.
• Contribution to maintenance of software testing environments.
• Facilitate seamless code promotion into production by communicating issues identified by testing and verifying resolution.
• Support cross-functional teams by ensuring that our software products are tested and ready to meet changing research needs and client requirements.
