Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support test campaign designs, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of radiation detection systems. The role emphasizes robust statistical methods and providing quantitative findings for decision makers.

This role is primarily remote in the Northern VA area but requires travel (10–25%) and occasional attendance in an office. Travel and DHS clearance eligibility required; local to the DMV area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 9+ years or master's degree with 7+ years in a technical or scientific field.
• Experience analyzing large data sets or in a test and evaluation related field or similar work experience.
• Active secret clearance with DHS Suitability; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Experience using analytical/statistical tools to optimize test designs, determine sample sizes, and model performance.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of test data and display results in a meaningful way (graphics, tables, diagrams).
• Ability to work independently and as a team member; strong written and oral skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute test events with agencies and national laboratories.
• Develop test designs using Design of Experiments methods.
• Write analysis plans, test plans, and reports (Word/LaTeX).
• Develop efficient test and analysis tools using MATLAB, LabVIEW, JMP, Excel.
• Identify, track, and manage schedules and technical risks.
• Provide on-site test support and interact with customer representatives to resolve issues.
• Statistically analyze and develop visual representations of test data.
