BearCom is the largest distributor of wireless voice, data, and video solutions in North America. The Senior Field Service Technician role focuses on installing and supporting wireless communications systems for public safety and enterprise customers.

The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, possess strong technical skills, and be able to create imaginative solutions meeting challenging customer needs. Regional travel and on-call hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of service technician experience with Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM or Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio field.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across frequency bands.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Proficiency with test equipment including spectrum analyzers, watt meters, TDRs, FDRs, and multimeters.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install and service complex wireless communications systems (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz).
• Create high-level programming codeplugs (P25, Linked CAP+, CAP MAX).
• Provide system recommendations and designs that meet customer requirements.
• Some regional/overnight travel and on-call hours may be required.
