Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to power industrial operations in the United States. The role focuses on testing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment including low and medium‑voltage switchgear, transformers, and motor controls, while also taking on leadership tasks in shop and field environments.

The candidate will lead field crews, ensure project readiness with thorough documentation, and contribute to technical training and safety programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in power plants, industrial services, primary power distribution and related protection/control schemes.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial or commercial power systems experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical capabilities for testing relays, circuit breakers, transformers, motor control equipment and related switchgear in the field.
• Lead a crew in the field for testing, maintenance and repair of breakers, transformers and switchgear.
• Ensure proper preparation and documentation for site projects.
• Support budget adherence on projects and assist with labor estimates.
• Maintain safety and training; share knowledge to improve team performance.
• Provide daily site summaries and weekly production status reports to project management.
• Attend project kickoff meetings and coordinate with project manager.
• Remain current on safety and technical training.
