Qualifications

• Experience installing, calibrating, maintaining and repairing industrial weighing equipment.
• Ability to diagnose communication issues across weighing equipment, PCs, networks and PLCs.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, installations, calibrations, and preventive maintenance on industrial weighing equipment.
• Diagnose communications between weighing equipment, PCs, networks, printers, and PLCs.
• Lead or support customer projects and coordinate with sales teams, contractors, technicians, and stakeholders.
• Maintain service records, daily documentation, timekeeping, inventory, and required Weights & Measures paperwork.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and support service sales by identifying and submitting customer opportunities.

Job description

The Senior Field Service Technician is responsible for independently installing, calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial weighing and specialized equipment. This role supports complex systems that may include scale terminals, printers, software, computers, networks, PLCs, checkweighers, dimensioning equipment, and weigh-in-motion systems. The technician works directly with customers, sales teams, contractors, and other technicians to resolve issues, complete projects, and ensure equipment operates safely and reliably. Must be willing to attain and maintain a Class B CDL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, installations, calibrations, and preventative maintenance on industrial weighing equipment
• Diagnose communication issues between weighing equipment, computers, networks, printers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Configure and support scale terminals, proprietary software, printer templates, and integrated customer systems
• Assist with specialized equipment projects, including weigh-in-motion systems, dimensioning equipment, checkweighers, tank scales, hoppers, and heavy-duty weighing systems
• Lead or support customer projects and coordinate with sales teams, contractors, technicians, and other stakeholders
• Provide professional technical support to customers and assist other technicians with troubleshooting when needed
• Maintain accurate service records, daily documentation, timekeeping, inventory, and required state or county Weights & Measures paperwork
• Meet customer uptime, productivity, quality, safety, and service performance expectations
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in accordance with company policies
• Participate in an on-call rotation and support service sales by identifying and submitting customer opportunities
