Job summary

Mettler Toledo AG is seeking a Field Service Technician to be on-site at customer locations across the assigned region. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and basic repairs to keep floor and bench scales running safely and accurately.

You will document work, maintain service records, and communicate with teams to meet uptime and response targets, while upholding safety and quality guidelines.

• Maintain company vehicle and parts inventory in a clean, compliant manner.
• Identify service or product needs and submit sales leads when appropriate.
• Follow safety, quality, and company policies at all times.

Job description

As a Field Service Technician, you will be the on-site expert customers rely on to keep their floor and bench scales running safely, accurately, and efficiently. You will perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and basic repairs while representing the company professionally at customer locations across your assigned region.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on industrial weighing equipment (primarily floor scales and bench scales) at customer sites, following established procedures and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs as needed, partnering with more experienced technicians when required.
• Provide end-user training so operators understand how to use and care for their equipment correctly.
• Use a company laptop and service software to document work performed, update service records, and maintain data integrity in the service database each day.
• Communicate closely with the Scheduling Analyst, Service Support Team, sales, and fellow technicians to meet customer uptime and response-time expectations.
• Maintain your company vehicle and assigned parts inventory in a clean, organized, and compliant manner.
• Support service revenue by identifying service or product needs and submitting sales leads in line with your experience level.
• Follow all company, customer, safety, and quality policies to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
