Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems. You will be the heart of our service locations, delivering exceptional customer service and technical solutions for challenging customer needs.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Motorola, Kenwood, and related equipment, plus the ability to interpret schematics and work across multiple regions with some overnight travel. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of service tech experience with Motorola/Kenwood/ICOM/Vertex equipment.
• Strong knowledge of 2-Way radio theory and RF propagation.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Create Mid-Level Programming Codeplugs (12+ Channels, Trunking, Multiple Zones)
• Install and Service Wireless Communications Equipment (UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz Systems, Dispatch Consoles, BDA/DAS Systems, Microwave Systems, Wireless Broadband Devices, CCTV Equipment)
• Recommend Appropriate Equipment and Hardware That Meets Customer Requirements
• Some Regional and/or Overnight Travel and On-Call Hours May Be Required
